Getting there

Only one way to get there from Bedfordshire really and that's by road.

  • Leave the M1 at junction 6A and join the M25
  • Leave the M25 at junction 15 and join the M4
  • After the fantastic River Severn crossing, join the A48(M)
  • Entering Cardiff follow signs to the City Centre (branching left)
  • Then A4119 or Cardiff Road and then go onto the B4267 and past the 'Coporation pub' and turn immediately right then carry on forward at the next set of traffic lights
  • Turn left at the lights for CCFC on Sloper Road

Having gone to Hull in the last Championship away match you get to see another fantastic bridge this time around! The River Severn one. Well worth the trip just for that.

Where to eat & drink

The Landsdowne is a popular pub for both home and away fans with a really good pre-football match atmosphere. Opposite the Cornwall Hotel (which has a pub inside) there's a chinese/chippy if you have the munchies too!

Cardiff City - Saturday 1st October 3:00pm

Ninian Park, South Wales

Match preview

Our first (and you never know it might not be our last) trip to Wales this season! The last time we went to Wales we captured the League One title, sparking wild celebrations both on the pitch, by the players, and in the stands, by the travelling Luton fans. Although impossible to expect to feel any where near the happiness that day, another win in Wales would certainly show our top class credentials this season.

Having the majority of the squad to pick from, the least Mike Newell will expect from this fixture is a point, but being the man he is, and the club he is at, don't expect the town to be content with sitting back and playing out the draw, because as you know, that is not the way we play. It should be an entertaining match as Cardiff thrive on the atmosphere their stadium generates at each and every one of their home matches.

Expect a few goals in this match, it's about time there was between the two sides...
