Getting there

Best to take train as driving to and from london is a mare!

Luton station - Kings cross (train)

Kings Cross - Blackhorse road (tube)

Blackhorse road - Leyton station (train)

as you come out of Leyton station turn right, cross the road, walk down the high street for about 1/4 of a mile and the floodlights should be clearly visible behind coronation gardens, take the next left past the gardens (buckingham road) to get to the stadium.

Where to eat & drink

There is the Birkbeck tavern just behind the station, but if you want to make your way in the general direction on the ground, turn right when coming out of station and on Leyton High Road on the right side you will find the Coach & horses, if you walk slightly further there is the three blackbirds.

Leyton Orient - Tuesday 23rd August 7:45pm

Brisbane Road, East London

Match preview

The Hatters travel to Brisbane road/ Matchroom stadium in this league cup fixture after losing their last league game away at Stoke, down to some poor refereeing, but that’s another story. Leyton Orient have started the season well, winning their first 3 fixtures in league 2 only losing last Saturday,a crushing  4-1 defeat at home to Rochdale.  The O’s boss Martin Ling admitted that Orient hadn’t played good football so far yet grinding out 3 wins, so they could struggle against a Luton side who recently have been playing some fluent football, but that didn’t stop Boston knocking us out in the same competition last year.

Luton look likely to field a strong side with regular first team players, Rowan Vine who is just getting over an injury may start instead of  Steve Howard, if Howard’s red card is not rescinded today (Tuesday) by the F.A. ‘Super sub’ Enoch Showunmi could find himself starting up front, after only making substitute appearances this season, also another option for the attack is Dean Morgan, who has played a couple of blinders complimented with a couple of goals so far this term in the Left Midfield position though his preferred position being up front, his in-swinging corners could cause trouble for the Orient side.

Facing Luton, Orient could give Joe Dolan his first start this year, after being released by Millwall in the summer. Prolific youth team  striker Efe Echanomi, could also start tonight, Echanomi a relatively unheard of  striker but is known to Orient fans for his blistering pace and flamboyant tricks and made 4 appearances last year with 14 subtitute appearances and scoring a commendable 5 goals. Luton face a challenging match tonight from the London side, and should not repeat what happened in round one, away at League Two side Boston last year.
