Millwall - Saturday 4th March 3:00pm
The Den, South London
Match preview Luton travel to the new den requiring 3 points to stop the rot which is currently infesting the Luton side, Our new years resolution must have been to lose as many games as possible so hopefully a change in fortune when we visit one of the bottom sides in Millwall. Graeme Flanagan©
Having seen The Wall earlier in the season in the home fixture they didn’t look up to much and it seems that way as they languish in the relegation zone, like they have done for most of the season, if they wanted to avoid the drop they had to start winning fast and could they overturn a shockingly bad at away games Luton?
Luton look to field a full strength squad and I imagine the focus will be to take the game to them and attack as much as possible and not to let the infamous Lions crowd to intimidate them and show Millwall why they deserve to be where they are in the league.
Markus Heikkinen looked set to start for the Hatters after recovering from injury aswell as skipper Kevin Nicholls. Peter Holmes could start in place for the injured midfield player Steve Robinson. Dean Morgan no doubt starting on the bench somewhat frustratingly after it seems Newell and Morgan have had a personality clash. I don’t think it is right for Newell to let his personal feelings get in the way of the team. I think we would be a more successful side if we played Morgan on the left wing instead of Brkovic who is proving ineffective at this level of football.
