Only 6,000 odd in the ground according to official figures with a poor atmosphere apparently. About 800 or so awayday Hatters travelled apparently. Credit to them for making a third trip in week for a cup tie.

According to Three Counties Radio and what various fans said about the match it seemed like Luton had the best of a bad game. However, the decisive moment came in the 80th minute when John Oster's curling free-kick evaded everyone and sent The Hatters crashing out.
