Southampton - Sunday 11th December 1:30pm

St. Mary's Stadium, Hampshire

Match preview

A rare chance to see the town play on the south coast, the last time being when we visited Bournemouth's Fitness First Stadium in early April. Also of course, our first ever visit to the StMary's stadium. The reason we play our first Sunday match in nearly a year (not since Boxing Day last season have we played on the "sabeth" day) is because Sky Sports have yet again come calling to Luton's door. Having already beaten Hull, and drawn with Sheffield Wednesday in front of the cameras, Hatters fans will be hoping their good form in front of the nation will continue.

With just one game to go after this until Christmas, the football season will reach the halfway for the town after this lunchtime clash. It's the last away match before Christmas too, and so hopefully hats will be worn, and the famous awayday "Jingle Bells" will be able to be heard all the way from St Mary's to, Portsmouth say {indeed, Harry Redknapp!}.

Of course it would be easy to sit in front of Sky TV like so many Luton fans chose to when we travelled up to Hull for an early kick-off, however, hopefully many awayday Hatters will go to the south coast and witness us break our poor away form, without a win away from Kenilworth Road since October 1st. So come to Southampton and bring your Santa hat, you never know, you may even be spotted by Sky Sports' cameras!
