Crewe Alexandra - Saturday 15th October 3:00pm

Gresty Road, South Cheshire

Match preview

On paper this is a game that Luton should win easily against the bottom side of the division but as Newell once said, ‘we play on grass, not paper.’ Even more untrue because this season everyone is beating everyone in the Championship so far, which means we should approach the game with caution.

Crewe as I stated earlier are lying in a lowly 24th position,  Millwall and Brighton joining them in the proverbial doghouse at the minute, but 3 points against the hatter’s can see them get only their second win of the season and out of the relegation zone. However a win for Luton can see then marginally catch up with the early pace setters Sheffield United and Reading.

A win for Luton can see them attaining a 5 game unbeaten run in the league and a valuable 3 points on the road.
